Rehabilitative Services

The goals of rehabilitation are to help you become more independent and to help you adapt to limitations that have resulted from an injury or disease. For most services, a physician referral is necessary. Your treatment will begin with an evaluation and the development of an individualized treatment plan. Our team will consult and collaborate with you, your family, your doctor, and other healthcare providers. We want all aspects of your treatment to be as pleasant and productive as possible, so please let us know of any concerns you have about your care. Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy team addresses mobility issues that are a result of sports- or work-related injuries, muscle strains, joint sprains, and other orthopedic or neurological disorders. Your individual program will be designed to decrease pain, improve mobility and function, and increase strength, range of motion and endurance, therefore improving your quality of life.

Through therapeutic exercise, specialized equipment and education and hands-on techniques, our therapists will help you reach your goals. Aquatic therapy is also available, as part of your regular physical therapy program. Physical therapy can also provide pain control and relief through hands-on techniques.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists are skilled in addressing daily task limitations that are a result various medical, developmental or surgical conditions. Your therapist will design and implement an individualized treatment program and instruct you in the techniques that you need to overcome or adapt to limitations and regain independence. Programs may include exercise, education on conserving energy, joint protection techniques, activity modification, adaptive or assistive devices,  and splinting.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary rehabilitation will help those who have chronic lung disease or an illness that has affected breathing. Through exercise training, respiratory care instruction, nutrition counseling, education and support, our team will help you return to a more active lifestyle.

You will meet with health care team members individually and in small groups throughout your 10-week program. Your exercise regimen is designed to build up your endurance and strengthen your respiratory system. We will help you learn how to control and alleviate the symptoms and complications of your disease and reduce complications and hospitalizations. Finally, pulmonary rehabilitation helps build confidence so you can effectively carry out your everyday activities.

Audiology

Communication is essential to learning, working, and social interaction. Impaired communication can affect every aspect of a person's life. Our certified professionals will work with you as a team to help you achieve optimum communication skills.

Audiology/Hearing Aid Clinic: Our audiologist specializes in evaluating and treating people of all ages with hearing loss. An evaluation will help determine the exact nature of the individual's hearing problem or confirm normal hearing. Assistance with hearing aid selection, as well as fitting of state-of-the-art digital amplification is available at our clinic. We also offer batteries, accessories and repairs on all brands of hearing aids.

Speech-Language Pathology

Communication is essential to learning, working, and social interaction. Impaired communication can affect every aspect of a person's life. Our certified professionals will work with you as a team to help you achieve optimum communication skills.

Our speech-language pathologist will help identify and treat many types of speech and language disorders including stuttering or swallowing (dysphasia), and those that are a result of stroke, developmental delay, laryngectomy, cleft palate or head injury. Following a thorough diagnostic evaluation, a specialized treatment program will be developed specifically for you. The speech- language pathologist will then work personally with each patient and family to achieve better communication.

Communication disorders diagnosed and treated may include aphasia, articulation/phonology disorders, dysphagia-swallowing, delayed language, autism spectrum disorders, apraxia, stuttering and voice disorders.

Getting Started

Referrals to for speech require a prescription from a physician, along with insurance authorization or referral, as required by the health care insurance.
