Nashoba Valley Medical Center’s Friends Contribute to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, Inc.
Nashoba Valley Medical Center’s Friends has donated $3,625 to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, Inc. The generous donation was a result of proceeds from the hospital’s Family Health Festival and 5k Hunger Run road race, which was held on October 20.
Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry provides food and temporary support services to residents of Ayer, Devens, Groton, Harvard, Littleton and Shirley. The organization also advocates for changes that will promote independence and self-reliance for its clients. In 2011, the pantry provided food for 883 families.
“I know that our friends at Loaves and Fishes are incredibly appreciative of this donation,” said Nashoba Valley Medical Center President Steve Roach. “The $3,625 will go a long way to help them accomplish their goals, and we know that every dollar will be spent to help those in need.”
